It’s launch day for the newest addition to my Farming Sim Collection: the Alpaca Asset Pack! 🎉

I knew from the beginning that if I wanted this collection to feel complete, I had to include an alpaca. There's just something iconic and chaotic about them — a fluffy, expressive creature that fits perfectly into cozy games, quirky towns, or grumpy livestock pens.

🧵 What Took So Long?

This one fought me a little. The wool was especially tough to get right — I wanted that soft, fluffy look without losing the pixel clarity. And once I got the fluffy versions working, the sheared versions were even harder. At one point I had created what I can only describe as a “pink bald menace.” It took several rounds of revisions (and stepping away for a few days) before I had something I was happy with.

🎬 Favorite Animations?

Easily the spitting animation — it's just fun. Adding that gave the alpaca a lot more personality, and it’s the kind of thing that opens up creative roles in your game: maybe it's not just a background animal, maybe it’s your farm’s defender or a grumpy questgiver.

Also, the running animation turned out beautifully — it’s one of the only galloping cycles I’ve done, and the little tuft of hair flopping as it runs really brought it to life.

🐑 Personal Touch

When I use it in my own game, this alpaca is going to be a sheep protector — basically a fluffy little paladin who hates anything with a tail that barks. But I built this pack so it could slot into any pixel project: top-down adventures, cozy sims, even weird fantasy games if you give it enough lore.
